MSK Screening in Oakville
A musculoskeletal (MSK) screen tests strength, mobility and movement quality so problems can be addressed before they turn into injuries. For athletes, teams and anyone returning to activity.
What it is
Find the weak link before it breaks
An MSK screen is a structured set of tests run by a registered physiotherapist. It compares left and right sides, checks joint mobility, and looks at how you squat, hinge, land and change direction.
At Apti, we add objective measures on VALD ForceDecks and VALD HumanTrak, so the results are numbers you can track over a season.
- Strength and side-to-side asymmetry
- Jump and landing mechanics
- Hip, ankle and thoracic mobility
- Single-leg balance and control
- A written summary with priorities and a programme
Who books it
Pre-season, post-injury and new to training
Teams and individual athletes book screens before the season. Others book after an old injury to check it has fully recovered, or before starting a new sport or training plan. Read more in MSK screening explained.
