What we work on

Where mental performance work makes the difference

Mental blocks

A block can stall an athlete who is otherwise physically ready. We work through what is driving it and rebuild trust in the skill.

Self-confidence

Confidence is built, not waited for. We develop the routines and self-talk that hold up when conditions are not ideal.

Performing under pressure

Optimising performance when it matters most — competition day, selection, or a return after time away.

Experience

Fifteen years inside high-performance sport

A former competitive gymnast of 15 years, Erika competed provincially and nationally — firsthand experience of the mental demands of high-performance sport.

Her involvement in the gymnastics community also includes over a decade of coaching and judging in Ontario, so she understands athlete development from several perspectives at once.

Questions

Common questions

What mental performance consulting is, and who it is for.

Structured work on the mental and emotional skills behind performance — confidence, focus, managing pressure and responding to setbacks. It is skills coaching for the mental side of sport, delivered alongside your training.

Athletes at any level who want to perform more consistently, and those working through mental blocks, confidence dips or pressure situations. The same skills carry into academics and everyday life.

No. Mental performance consulting is performance-focused and is not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical care. If something falls outside that scope, Erika will say so and help you find the right support.

Certified Mental Performance Consultant® — a professional certification in sport and performance psychology. Erika is also an Apprentice Member with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association.

Book a session through the Apti booking portal and choose Erika. Bring whatever is getting in the way — the first session is about understanding it properly.
